Ariana Grande better get her DVR ready! The singer’s big brother, Frankie Grande, will be appearing on, well, Big Brother!
Frankie, a 31-year-old YouTube personality, will be battling it out with 15 other housemates this summer for the chance to win the $500,000 grand prize. The Florida native is also a dancer and singer, and currently resides in New York City.
“Congrats to my big brother on being cast in season 16 of big brother,” Ariana tweeted about her half-brother shortly after the news. “So proud of u / I’m a nervous wreck #bb16 you’re gonna kill it.”
Fans of the CBS reality competition were introduced to the new contestants online via their cast photos on Thursday, June 19. Pink-haired Grande wore a colorful striped shirt for his big debut, and smiled with his hands on his hips.
Viewers will have to wait until the show airs to find out if Grande admits he’s related to the 20-year-old Nickelodeon alum—but strategically, it might be smart to keep quiet. (Remember when everyone found out contestant Elissa Reilly was related to season 12 BB villain Rachel Reilly last season? Yikes!)
Either way, Grande better get prepared for the mental and physical challenges—and then some! Earlier this week, host Julie Chen revealed there would be many more twists this season. “This year, not one, but two houseguests will win Head of Household every week,” she said on The Talk. “Every week a total of four houseguests will be on the chopping block.” Even crazier? A new competition called Battle of the Block will mean that even players who are HoH are still in jeopardy to go home.
Season 16 of Big Brother premieres Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
