Another Bachelor couple bites the dust.
Eleven months after getting engaged in Switzerland as part of The Bachelor's 16th season finale, Ben Flajnik and his final rose recipient Courtney Robertson have gone their separate ways, two sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The couple's split may come as a surprise to some, as the duo appeared to be happy and in love during an August trip to Baker Beach in San Francisco, which winemaker Flajnik tweeted would be an ideal location for their nuptials.
Proposing to controversial Bachelor contestant Robertson with a 3-carat Neil Lane sparkler in November 2011, Flajnik was caught cheating on his fiancee four months later. The exclusive photos of his trysts — three in one weekend! — were later published in Us Weekly. (During March's After the Final Rose special, Flajnik swore on his father's grave that he was just kissing "old friends.")
Post-engagement, the couple assured viewers they intended to enjoy a long courtship away from reality TV cameras before walking down the aisle. "We kind of looked back at some of the other Bachelor relationships that didn't work out and the reason for that is you have so much pressure to move in together and set a date and all this kind of stuff . . . Let's figure out who we are together before we do any of that and take the pressure off," mused Flajnik.
Robertson isn't the only woman to publicly split from Flajnik. In 2011, the California-based winemaker proposed to Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette, only to be unceremoniously dumped in favor of eventual Bachelorette winner J.P. Rosenbaum.
