Can someone please just set the record straight? When Brooks Ayers appeared in a special E! interview in an attempt to clear his name following the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, he provided the interviewer with some alleged medical documents that he claimed proved he was being treated for cancer.
The files, which E! has posted online, show a bill of more than $30,000 worth of treatments from the City of Hope hospital in Duarte, Calif.
Us Weekly reached out to the hospital asking for confirmation that Ayers served as a patient there. A representative for the cancer treatment center tells Us they have never treated anyone by the name of David Brooks Ayers.
Both Ayers and his ex Vicki Gunvalson have been in the hot seat lately for the rumors surrounding his alleged cancer diagnosis. Most of Gunvalson’s Real Housewives of Orange County costars — and especially newbie Meghan King Edmonds — hounded Gunvalson, 53, for what they believe are lies.
“My gut tells me he doesn’t have it,” Gunvalson finally admitted during the reunion.
But following the reunion, Ayers claimed to E! News that he talked to Gunvalson, saying, “She said no, she didn’t feel like she’s been duped and secondly, she does now believe that I have cancer.”
