Wedding bells are ringing! Derek Jeter and fiancée Hannah Davis are planning to marry in a private ceremony in July, a source tells Us Weekly.
“The wedding is going to have tons and tons of flowers and be modern and sophisticated,” a second insider tells Us. “Derek wants it to be a secret. He doesn’t even want people to know that it happened until months after.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue model, 26, revealed back in February that she’ll be wearing a custom Vera Wang gown for her big day. “I don’t know if I’ll give too many details before the actual day, but I’m very excited that she’s designing the dress,” Davis told Entertainment Tonight.
The ceremony will take place in Napa Valley, California, possibly over the Fourth of July weekend, according to the New York Daily News, which was first to report the wedding date. “There will be a croquet party on the Friday night,” a source told the newspaper. The Project Runway: Junior host is also planning a bachelorette party in Miami in early June, the NYDN reports.
The former New York Yankees player, 41, popped the question to the supermodel in October 2015 after three years of dating. “I didn’t see that one coming,” Davis said of the proposal during an interview with Extra in November. “I think we are just trying to enjoy this stage. We’re so private with everything that we’ll be super secretive about when, where, all that stuff.”
Pals say their romance is stress-free, and Jeter has finally found the right woman to settle down with. “Their relationship works because they are both supportive and sweet to each other. They almost never fight,” an insider previously told Us. “Derek is totally in love with her. He thinks she’s beautiful, sweet and sexy!”
This will be the first marriage for both stars. Prior to dating Davis, the baseball legend was in a three-year relationship with Minka Kelly until they called it quits in 2011. He also famously romanced several A-listers, including Jessica Biel, Vanessa Lachey, Jordana Brewster and Mariah Carey.
