Erin Andrews has seen her three-year relationship with Jarret Stoll put to the test this year after the hockey star was arrested for drug possession, and she is a little evasive about their future in a new interview with Redbook.
The Dancing With the Stars host was asked in an interview for the mag’s October 2015 issue, “Do you think you’ll spend the rest of your life with Jarret?”
“I have no idea what tomorrow will bring,” Andrews replied. “We’re brought up thinking our lives are going to be a Taylor Swift song. Then you get older and wiser. You don’t know what is going to bring you happiness.”
The Fox Sports reporter, 37, and NHL hunk, 33, hit a rough patch after Stoll was arrested in April for suspicion of cocaine and ecstasy possession. Following the incident, the athlete cut a plea deal and signed on to create a hockey program for at-risk kids as his community service.
Stoll joined the New York Rangers last month after playing for the Los Angeles Kings for seven years.
Andrews acknowledged that whether it’s with Stoll or not, she has plans to become a wife and a mom.
“I happen to be one of those women who thinks it is possible to have it all,” she said. “Where I grew up, a lot of women start having children at 22. All of my friends from college and high school have three kids now. I’m not even engaged! I hope to have that, but look at what I’ve done: I’ve hopefully had a hand in opening the door for other women. I believe family is the next step.”
The career-oriented journalist opened up about the constant scrutiny — especially as a successful woman who covers football. Andrews’ take, however, is that people will talk.
“It’s only negative if I allow it to be. It’s taken me this long to figure that out,” the former ESPN personality shared. “The other day a friend texted me saying how she was so mad about people who say bad things about me. And I was like, if some guy is complaining about how I look, he must be pretty miserable.”
