Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka took to Twitter to mourn the death of season 14 contestant Lex McAllister, who passed away on Tuesday, February 16, from a suspected suicide.
“I’m so sad to hear about Alexa,” Pavelka tweeted shortly after the news broke on Tuesday afternoon. “Such a beautiful girl. My heart breaks for her family. Covering them in prayer during this rough time.”
McAllister was eliminated on week one of Pavelka’s Bachelor season back in 2010. She worked for a financial planning and wealth management company.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, police arrived at McAllister’s home in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, February, 13, after receiving a 911 call that she had overdosed on prescription pills. The 31-year-old was taken to the hospital and remained in stable condition, but her body eventually shut down.
McAllister passed away on Tuesday after her family decided to withdraw life support. One of her family members told TMZ that the late beauty grappled with bipolar disorder and depression.
