Jon Pardi, Summer Pardi's Relationship Timeline Before Split

Country singer Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer Pardi, separated after six years together.

The couple, who share two daughters, announced their separation in a joint Instagram statement in July 2026 to the surprise of their many fans. Court records viewed by Us Weekly later revealed that Summer had filed for divorce two months earlier, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

2017

Jon and Summer were set up by the singer’s mom and Summer’s hairstyling client. Less than one week later, Jon flew Summer to his Colorado concert for their first date.

“He was like, ‘I looked at your picture for three days, then I decided to call you,’” Summer recalled of their first conversation on the “Get Real” podcast in 2019. “[It] was so easy. I think my favorite part is how sentimental he is.”

2020

Jon and Summer tied the knot in November 2020 in Tennessee after three years of dating.

“We had a friend who was married at Saddle Woods last year, and when we walked into their wedding, Jon was like, ‘This is the most amazing wedding and venue ever,’ ” she told People at the time. “So when we had to cancel our destination wedding, they were naturally the first venue we called when we knew we had to keep things closer to home. There’s never a right time in 2020 to get married, so after all the planning and replanning we were just happy we got to do it.”

2023

The then-couple’s family grew when Summer gave birth to their first daughter, Presley, on February 18.

“Our lives are forever changed,” the new mom gushed via Instagram. “She has one cheek dimple like her mama and her daddy’s perfect skin.”

2024

Presley was joined by younger sister Sienna, who arrived on July 16.

2025

In an April interview with Us Weekly, Jon reflected on how family life had reshaped his songwriting.

“It’s a new emotion and new song ideas that we can sing about now,” he told Us. “[I’m] a father now and you’ll feel it more instead of just singing about it.”

Jon specifically pointed to songs on Honkytonk Hollywood that drew from his marriage.

“Even the love songs like ‘Boots Off’ is a lovemaking song, but it’s fun,” Jon shared. “‘Love the Lights Out’ is sexy and making up for lost time, and that’s all part of marriage. It’s all a part of raising kids.here’s that more mature stuff where before it was just party, party, party and picking up chicks. It’s got a little more of a classy tone to that one.”

Behind the scenes, the couple’s relationship had begun to unravel. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2026 that Jon and Summer faced “major issues” later in 2025.

“They’ve been having major issues since last year,” the insider claimed to Us. “They all but separated right before the holidays and even unfollowed each other on Instagram.”

The pair later refollowed one another on social media, but according to the source, the damage was significant. While Summer was “fed up” with Jon, the insider said she was holding the marriage together for their daughters.

May 2026

On May 12, Summer quietly filed to dissolve the couple’s five-year marriage in Tennessee, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to court documents obtained by Us.

In the paperwork, Summer requested to be named “primary residential parent” of Presley and Sienna if the estranged couple couldn’t agree on a parenting plan.

“[Summer] would show that she is a fit and proper person to be designated as the primary residential parent of the parties’ minor children,” her filing reads.

Summer also requested an equitable division of assets, “all of her separate property,” and alimony from Jon, arguing that he “has the ability to pay.”

July 2026

The Pardis publicly confirmed the end of their marriage on July 3 in a joint Instagram statement.

“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” they wrote at the time. “Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as coparents.”

Shortly after the announcement, Jon shared that he would be stepping back from social media.

“While I navigate this next chapter, I’m going to take some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “Thanks to you all for the love and support. My team will handle posting for the time being. I’ll see you at the shows.”
