Say this three times fast: Katie Couric cuddled courtside. The veteran TV journalist and her financier beau John Molner weren't shy about their affection for one another while sitting close to the action as they watched the Boston Celtics take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, May 1.
Couric, 56, and Molner, 49, looked like a couple of teenagers as they smiled and hugged during the game. Molner, who heads up mergers and acquisitions at investment bank and securities firm Brown Brothers Harriman, wore a grey suit and orange tie for the playoff game, and grabbed a giggling Couric in one adorable photo.
Couric wore a bright floral dress and a jean jacket for the date night, finishing off her look with some bright blue-and-nude pumps.
The pair were first linked in July 2012, and stepped out together at a New York screening of The Perks of Being a Wallflower in East Hampton a few months later in September.
"They were cute and affectionate during the screening," a source told Us Weekly at the time. Couric previously dated Brooks Perlin, who was 17 years her junior, but the pair called it quits on their five-year relationship in December 2011.
The former CBS Evening News anchor has two daughters — Ellie, 21, and Carrie, 16, with her late husband Jay Monahan, who died of colon cancer in 1998.
