Kelly Rowland is applauding Beyonce, her former Destiny's Child partner, for the mature way she handled herself at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.
After winning video of the year, Beyonce, 28, invited Taylor Swift, 19, on stage to finish her Best Female Video acceptance speech, which Kanye West, 32, famously interrupted earlier in the night because he felt Beyonce deserved to win.
Rowland said she thought West's stunt was "disturbing."
"I think that as a music industry and a fellow artist, it’s important to know that there is room for everybody," she told Us. "Kanye is a genius – no one takes that away from him, but [he should] be moral and be a [good] person."
"We're just people; we all do things that are a bit silly sometimes," he said. "Calm down; no one died."
