Wiggin’ out. Kylie Jenner recently chatted with Marie Claire for its third annual Fresh Faces issue and seemingly said that she’s to credit for wigs, which have been around for centuries.
"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs. Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night. … I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow,” Jenner told the magazine about her ability to influence others.
Considering Jenner most definitely is not the first person to ever wear wigs, the Internet blew up with reactions on Monday, April 11.
“You heard it here first guys Kylie Jenner invented wigs,” one person joked on Twitter, while another quipped: “kylie jenner started wigs and i started checkered vans #impact.”
Others were so blown away by her remark that they’re hoping she was misquoted.
“@KylieJenner you started wigs? What? Plz tell me they misquoted you. You are not that ignorant,” a fan asked on Twitter.
Jenner took to Twitter on Monday and hinted that may have been the case. “When publications switch up your words for hype.. Damn,” the makeup maven tweeted without naming Marie Claire.

The only way @KylieJenner started wigs would be if she mastered time travel. And that's a pretty hard argument to make.
