Standing by her man! Lindsey Vonn looked ecstatic as she supported boyfriend Tiger Woods from the sidelines during his attempt at a fifth green jacket at the 2013 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga. on Thursday, April 11.
The Olympic skier, 28, wore a large floppy hat and a tan patterned dress for the occasion, as well as a tell-tale reminder of her scary knee injury from February: a prominent brace on her right leg.
According to a report in USA Today, it was previously unknown whether Vonn would show up to support Woods, 37, so the course was atwitter with excitement when she did show up and photographers snapped away.
Back in the day, it was another sexy blonde supporting Woods on the sidelines during his tournaments: his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, 33, who typically crossed her arms and looked sternly ahead as her man (and father of her kids Sam, 5, and Charlie, 4) focused on his game.
More than three years after the golfer’s multiple affairs combusted his marriage to Nordegren, he and Vonn officially announced their relationship via Facebook on March 18, posing for a series of professionally shot photos and excitedly announcing their relationship status.
Both athletes have also since copped to their previously secretive relationships during a series of unrelated press conferences.
“We’re very happy where we’re at,” Woods said at a press conference at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla. on March 20. “We felt like it was the best thing to do. We’re very happy about it.”
Vonn, meanwhile, kept things lighthearted when talking about her scandal-ridden beau during the Vail Celebration of Champions in Vail, Colo. on March 29.
When a member of the crowd inextricably yelled out “Tiger Woods” in the middle of her response to another question, she broke out into a huge grin and tackled the elephant in the room: “Okay guys, I play golf,” she said with a laugh.
