Once upon a time, Elin Nordegren was a single nanny looking for love — and then her boss, golf player Jesper Parnevik, introduced the Swedish woman to the world's richest athlete, Tiger Woods.
Parnevik told The Golf Channel Wednesday that, in light of Woods' adultery scandals, he regrets playing matchmaker.
"I would be especially sad about it since I'm kind of — I really feel sorry for Elin," Parvenik said. "Since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him."

The golfer says he misjudged Woods' character: "We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her."
Nordegren, now 29, began working for the Parveniks as a nanny in 2001. She and Woods married in 2004, and have two kids: Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 10 months.
