Katie's got a new man!
Katie Couric stepped out with new boyfriend John Molner for the first time Sunday in East Hampton, New York at a screening of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The 55-year-old TV host has been dating Molner, 49, head of mergers and acquisitions at investment bank and securities firm Brown Brothers Harriman, for several months.
The former CBS Evening News anchor, dressed casually in white jeans, a short-sleeved blouse and scarf, wrapped her arm around her new beau for photos. The financier wore khaki pants and a checkered dress shirt for the event. "They were cute and affectionate during the screening," a source tells Us Weekly.
Couric split from her previous boyfriend, Brooks Perlin, who is 17 years her junior, in December 2011 after five years of dating. The former TODAY co-host has two daughters, Ellie, 21, and Carrie, 16, with her late husband Jay Monahan, who died of colon cancer in 1998.
"I know it sounds corny, but I think the key to staying young is having joy inside you," Couric told the September issue of Good Housekeeping magazine, "being a caring, loving, generous person; and [having] a sense of humor."
Her new talk show, Katie, premieres Sept. 10.
