Nick Cannon is getting candid about his split from wife Mariah Carey. The America's Got Talent host opened up to Extra at the premiere of Addicted in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and said he's taking the breakup day by day.
"I’m just taking everything one day at a time and just being the best person that I can possibly be at the end of the day," Cannon, 34, said, adding that he wishes his wife of eight years, "nothing but the best."
Over the weekend, the entertainer was snapped sporting a new tattoo which covered up his "Mariah" tribute tat. "It's not finished yet," Cannon said of his new crucifixion ink. "It wasn’t supposed to be revealed yet…I had just gotten it done, it was painful…It hurt a lot and I’m still not finished, I’m still probably like six more sessions away."
After Us Weekly exclusively revealed in August that the couple are on the rocks, Cannon confirmed days later that they've been living separately. "There is trouble in paradise," the dad of two revealed to The Insider With Yahoo. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months."
