It should be a crime to be this cute! Orange Is the New Black star Kimiko Glenn introduces her adorable mixed-breed dog Arnold in this installment of the Us Weekly Video series “Meet My Pet.”
“I think we’re soul mates. I’ll talk to him sometimes and be like, ‘Arnold, how’s it going?'” Glenn, 26, who plays reserved inmate Brooke Soso on the Netflix dramedy, tells Us. “And I feel like he answers me with his eyes.”
Their love story began in 2015 when she adopted the 14-month-old in Los Angeles. “It was love at first sight for me,” says Glenn. Arnold, however, felt differently, she admits: “He took a second to, like, warm up to me.”
Their initial few weeks together were rocky. “For the first month it was hard because we weren’t on the same page,” continues Glenn, who suspects Arnold is a Chihuahua-terrier mix. “He was a little rambunctious and curious and not really listening.”
Since then, the pair have fallen into an easy groove in New York City, where they live (and where the actress is performing in Sara Bareilles’ Tony-nominated musical Waitress). Says Glenn, “He is always there for me.”
