Now that's one way to start a Monday. Shortly after the 2016 Grammy nominees were announced on Monday, Dec. 7, R&B singer Omarion lashed out via Twitter about his new single, "Post to Be," being snubbed by the recording academy.
Omarion, 31, released "Post to Be" — an electro-hop R&B tune co-written by Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko — in November 2014 as part of his fourth studio album, Sex Playlist. The former B2K band member believed he deserved a nod in the category of Best R&B Performance.
"Post to be" is one of the greatest R&B collaborations ever. CB, Jhene, & myself been in the game 10+.

Even though people act like its easy to make a hit (& it's not). As an artist you look forward to being acknowledged by the game.

The odds have always been against me. I constantly prove you wrong. I'll consistently do great things & you will have to celebrate me.

This isn't a "im upset" (post to be) rant. This is a- ok so that wasn't good enough. I'll be back. Have my Grammy's ready.

The game has long changed since I was introduced to it. They want to still treat me like I'm a new to this. My moment is coming trust.

So when it's all said & done. Remember. I prophesied it. It's my destiny. I was destined. Chosen.

Despite the personal slight, the Disney Channel alum later went on to congratulate the nominees. The singles to be nominated for Best R&B Performance included Tamar Braxton's "If I Don't Have You," Andra Day's "Rise Up," Hiatus Kaiyote's "Breathing Underwater," Jeremih's "Planes" featuring J. Cole, and The Weeknd's "Earned It" from the Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack.
Congratulations to all the nominees! Enjoy this milestone.

Top contenders for the leading categories include Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and more. Joining Omarion on the list of those snubbed, however, are Selena Gomez, Madonna, and Demi Lovato.
