The people who may have sold Philip Seymour Hoffman the lethal doses of heroin that led to his fatal overdose have been apprehended. On Tuesday, Feb. 4, policemen raided a drug den in Manhattan where four suspected heroin dealers were arrested. Cops had received a tip that the late Oscar winner, 46 when he died on Sunday Feb. 3, purchased heroin at the Mott Street building, according to the New York Post. The paper reports that authorities, who had obtained a search warrant, discovered 350 envelopes of heroin in three apartments in the building; the bags did not, however, have the "Ace of Spades" stamp found on the heroin stash (65 bags' worth) in Hoffman's apartment.
Robert Vineberg and Thomas Kushman were both charged with felony drug possession; Max Rosenblum and Juliana Luchkiw, were charged with misdemeanor drug possesion.
A musician who also goes by the name of Robert Aaron, Vineberg, 57, denied selling heroin to Hoffman, who entered rehab last spring, and leaves behind kids Cooper, Tallulah and Willa and girlfriend Mimi O'Donnell.
He will be remembered by family and friends with a private service in New York.
