Philip Seymour Hoffman's family and friends plan to say goodbye to the late Oscar winner with a funeral in the city he called home. The Capote actor, who died at age 46 on Feb. 2, will be honored with a private service in New York, a rep for the star told Us Weekly in a statement on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Plans are also under way for a memorial service later in the month, the rep said. "In lieu of flowers," the statement continued, "the family requests donations be made in Phil's name to two charities that were very close to his heart: the DreamYard Project and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation."
