Something to be happy about! Robin Wright is engaged to actor Ben Foster, sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The House of Cards star, 47, showed off her new engagement ring next to Foster, 33, while attending the opening of Diane von Furstenberg’s “Journey of a Dress” exhibition in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 10. The couple were all smiles as they posed for photographs together. Wright’s wore a black ensemble while flaunting her simple and beautiful gold ring.
“Ben is a sweet guy and you don’t even notice the age difference. He’s a lot more mild-mannered than Sean [Penn],” a source close to Wright tells Us. “And Robin’s kids Dylan and Hopper like him and like seeing their mom happy.”
Wright and the Lone Survivor actor first met on the set of their 2011 film Rampart. Romance rumors surfaced when they were first spotted together in Australia in early 2012, making it the first known relationship for the star since her high-profile divorce from Sean Penn in 2010.
This will be the third marriage for the Emmy-nominated actress and the first for Foster. Wright was previously married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988 and Penn, 53, for 14 years. The pair share daughter Dylan, 22, and son Hopper, 20.
