Officially over — for now. Robin Wright and Ben Foster have called off their engagement for the second time, Us Weekly can confirm.
A source tells Us that the couple split again a few months ago. “They gave it another go,” the insider notes, “but were still having the same issues.”
The House of Cards actress, 49, and Foster met on the set of their 2011 drama Rampart and got engaged in January 2014. They split that November, but reconciled in January 2015.
"She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn't the right decision," an insider told Us at the time.
Her 14-year age difference with Foster also became an issue. "Ben was kind of immature," the insider added. "She couldn't deal with him anymore."
The latest news comes just months after Sean Penn’s split from fiancee, Charlize Theron. Back in June, Us exclusively revealed that Penn, 55, and Theron, 40, ended their six-month engagement. Following the split, Theron adopted her second child in August. Baby girl August joined big brother Jackson, 4, whom she adopted from South Africa in 2012. (Wright was previously married to Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010. They share daughter Dylan, 23, and son Hopper Jack, 21.)
