Look out! Rod Stewart may be a legendary rocker, but he should probably steer clear of soccer. According to the New York Daily News, the Brit, 69, is being sued by an American fan, who claims Stewart broke his nose with a soccer ball after he kicked it into the audience at a 2012 concert at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The fan, whose name is Mostafa Kashe, is suing the "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" singer for $10,000 for "compensation for lost wages, attorney's fees, and cosmetic repairs to his nasal cavity."
Kashe, 53, is an electrical engineer from Diamond Bar, Calif. and has filed a civil negligence lawsuit.
"Stewart has significant experience in the sport of soccer and experience in kicking soccer balls, having previously tried out for a professional soccer team in the UK and regularly playing in amateur soccer leagues since his youth," Kashe's statement reads. "Stewart either knew or should have known that his actions could cause injury to unsuspecting patrons of his concerts."
Kashe is also suing Caesars Palace and concert promoters AEG Live. Stewart is known for kicking signed soccer balls into the crowd at his concerts and hasn't commented on the lawsuit.
