So far to fall! Shaquille O’Neal‘s appearance on Inside the NBA on TNT took a turn for the dramatic on Wednesday, May 6, when all 85 inches of him tumbled in a seriously epic fashion.
The basketball legend, 43, was adding commentary to the Rockets vs. Clippers game, when he stood to join Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. O’Neal somehow managed to get his foot caught on some electric equipment and took a huge crash landing on the studio floor.
Barkley and Smith immediately burst out laughing, taking great joy in the Los Angeles Lakers alum’s misfortune. O’Neal looked for someone to blame, shouting to host Ernie Johnson, “You set me up, Ernie!”
O’Neal fell so hard that he lost a shoe and was writhing on the ground feet away from his footwear. “Okay Ernie,” he added in jest. “You tied that around my leg!”
Smith took particular happiness in the hilarious moment, running over to the athlete and repeating, “Down goes Shaq! Down goes Shaq!”
Even Shaq himself had some fun at his own expense, taking to Twitter after the fall aired on national television to share a clip of the moment and add, “[Damn] I’m clumsy.” Check out other tweets on the fall below!
