It’s time to get fierce again! America’s Next Top Model returns for cycle 23 on a new network and with a new host, but it still has the same cutthroat drama, as revealed in the competition series’ first trailer.
ANTM premieres on VH1 Monday, December 12, hosted by Rita Ora, who replaces Tyra Banks. This season’s judges are Ashley Graham, Drew Elliott and Law Roach.
Also helping to decide the aspiring models’ fates are such celebrity guests as Zendaya, Amber Rose, French Montana, Tinashe, Jason Derulo and Chanel Iman. (Banks, the longtime face of the franchise, remains on board as an executive producer.)
This season’s winner will nab $100,000, along with a commercial feature on behalf of Rimmel London, a fashion spread in Paper magazine and a one-year talent deal with VH1.
The trailer reveals squabbles between the contestants, a medical emergency requiring an ambulance and, of course, plenty of tears.
“I’m not looking for a traditional model,” Banks says in the clip. “And I’m not looking for a social media model. I’m looking for both!”
Ora bluntly tells one modeling hopeful in the promo, “This photo did you no justice whatsoever.”
Nyle DiMarco nabbed the show’s top prize for cycle 22 in December 2015. He went on to win Dancing With the Stars‘ mirrorball trophy in season 22 earlier this year.
