Reality TV stars never forget! Caila Quinn makes her Bachelor in Paradise arrival in the Monday, August 15, episode, and one of her costars is quick to point out that she almost starred on a different ABC dating series.
In the episode, Quinn — Ben Higgins‘ second runner-up on The Bachelor season 20 — unexpectedly dropped by, and many of the guys instantly appeared smitten. However, some of the female cast members were a little less excited by her presence.
In one scene, Lace Morris described Quinn, 24, to bartender Jorge as “the one that was supposed to be the Bachelorette, but then JoJo [Fletcher] took over.” Ouch!
Morris’ comment refers to the neck-and-neck selection process for the season 12 Bachelorette, which came down to the wire. Series producers considered picking Quinn to lead the season, and they even filmed her introductory package in her hometown of Hudson, Ohio. But ultimately, producers opted for Bachelor season 20 runner-up Fletcher, who got engaged to Jordan Rodgers in her finale that aired August 1.
In another scene from Paradise‘s August 15 episode, Morris got territorial over boyfriend Grant Kemp and said, “If Caila asks Grant [Kemp] on a date, I might have to slap a bitch.”
There has been no shortage of tension on Paradise this season. Nick Viall has butted heads with Josh Murray over Amanda Stanton‘s affections, while Morris hooked up with Chad Johnson before he was given the boot for his overly aggressive behavior.
Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
