Eva Longoria Parker claims she is just as shocked as everyone else about Nicollette Sheridan's $20 million lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.
"I kind of got blind-sided," Parker, 35, says on next Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The star says she first learned of Sheridan's shocking claims while being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Wednesday.
"[Seacrest] goes, 'tell us about this lawsuit,' and I go 'what lawsuit?'…I didn't know."
Sheridan, 46, accuses Cherry, 48, of hitting her in the face on the set and firing her from the show after she reported the incident. (Cherry has yet to comment; ABC Studios calls the claims "without merit.")
"The only thing I can say is we don't have a hostile set," Parker tells DeGeneres. "And Marc's really nice and Nicolette's a nice girl too."
The actress adds that she and her remaining Housewives costars are "just kind of staying out of it…We love going to work everyday."
During her earlier chat with Seacrest, however, Parker alluded to a clash between her former costar and Cherry. "Something happened on set regarding them doing a scene. She was doing a scene, and … he was showing her how to do a scene. Honestly, I wish I knew [what happened]. During that time too, I didn't work with Nicollette's character."
