Block party! Kendall Jenner wasn’t necessarily welcomed into her neighborhood with open arms when she moved into her new Hollywood Hills mansion. Jimmy Kimmel, one of her new neighbors, revealed to the model, 20, that everyone was actually “up in arms” before her move-in day. Watch the video above to hear what the talk show host said!
“There was a whole thing with emails that went on,” Kimmel, 48, said during his late-night show on Wednesday, August 24.
“No! Bad?” Jenner asked.
“Yeah!” Kimmel replied. “I mean, before you got there … The neighbors all seemed to blame me for this development.”
As previously reported, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star bought John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s $6 million estate earlier this summer. (The couple and daughters Hazel, 2, and Violet, 2 months, now live in NYC.)
“When I moved in, my mom [Kris Jenner] was super nervous about me moving into a home by myself,” Jenner explained. “And I was like, ‘No, you know, it’s OK. Jimmy Kimmel lives right across the street. Like, I don’t know him, but maybe if anything ever goes down, he’ll save my life.'”
Kimmel quipped: “Yeah! I’m the captain of the neighborhood watch.”
Jokes aside, Jenner acknowledged that her move was a little disruptive. “I know I’ve caused a lot of ruckus on our street,” she said. “I have stalkers. There is a lot going on.”
