#Feels. Trolls costars Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick serenaded the crowd at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, May 11, with an emotional rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s hit song “True Colors,” a standard in the gay community.
“We are Anna and Garfunkel,” Timberlake, 35, joked while introducing themselves to the crowd. “OK, we are going to give this a go, but you guys have to be nice.”
Kendrick, who was nominated for her first Tony Award when she was just 12 in 1998, added: “We’re just friends here right? This isn’t like a big deal … we’re just hanging out in our living room.”
The two, of course, totally nailed their chill-inducing acoustic performance.
The Trolls soundtrack marks Timberlake’s return to music. The former ‘NSync member released his latest single “Can’t Stop the Feeling” on Friday, May 6.
Trolls revolves around the little creatures embarking on a journey that takes them far beyond the only world they’ve ever known and also features Gwen Stefani, James Corden, Russell Brand, Jeffrey Tambor and Christine Barankski.
Trolls hits theaters November 4.
