What a whirlwind adventure! It seems as if it was only yesterday that we were embarking on the journey that is Rob & Chyna, and now it has all come to an emotional end. Much of the tumultuous first season was resolved neatly in the Sunday, October 16, finale, including Rob Kardashian finally relenting and seeing a therapist for the first time. Team Rob! Team mental health! (And click here for the Us Weekly team’s baffled reactions to the episode.)
Oh yeah, and Rob is Blac Chyna‘s baby’s father. Were we ever really doubting that, though?
Chyna Questions Her Relationship With Rob
The episode started off with Rob and Chyna still not on speaking terms after their infamous French-fry fight. Chyna vented, “I don’t know if I wanna do this. … This pregnancy, I thought it would, like, be different.”
The mother-to-be continued, “He’s gonna have to change, and I feel like, at this rate, Rob ain’t changin’.” She turned to Kim Kardashian for advice. Kim was shocked at her younger brother’s actions and said, “If my boyfriend stopped talking to me for five days when I was pregnant, I would be pissed.” Then an invisible lightbulb appeared over her head as she suggested, “You guys can come over, and we can like sit down and talk.”
Kim Kardashian: Relationship Coach
Do we smell an E! spinoff? When Kim sat Rob and Chyna down in her living room for a mediation session, we were getting goose bumps at the sight of Kim’s sage-ness. Kim told her brother to “man up,” unless he wanted to “be a deadbeat dad and the biggest loser on the planet.” Once Kim’s ready to come back into the spotlight, we’re ready for her inevitable spinoff show as a relationship coach.
Kim and Chyna Steal Rob’s Toothbrush for DNA Test
Chyna then got the idea that she wanted to do a paternity test, even after admitting, “I know with my vagina that this is his baby.” Speaking of Kardashian spinoffs, there may also be room for a Kim and Chyna buddy-cop show, right? The dynamic duo snuck into Rob’s house to steal his toothbrush for a DNA paternity test, and failed horribly. They were caught when the toothbrush fell out of Chyna’s pocket in front of Rob. We died laughing. Rob then shocked us all when he revealed he was cool with the idea of a paternity test. Rob is … chill? This finale was full of surprises!
Rob Sort of Agrees to See a Therapist
Then, at the urging of Scott Disick of all people, Rob agreed to see a therapist. Rob, in the most roundabout way possible, admitted to Chyna that maybe therapy isn’t such a bad idea for someone like him. The sock mogul’s eyes darted as he mumbled, “Seeing somebody, like, to talk to or whatever — I mean, it’s not gonna hurt to just try it out. I personally don’t really agree with the whole thing, but I’m more than willing to try it out and to do that if it’s gonna benefit you and I. I just talked to Scott about it.” We’re so proud of you, Rob! And Scott, too!
Therapist Calls Rob’s Fight With Chyna “a Mess”
During Rob’s therapy session with psychologist Erica Hershey Jaffe, he opened up about his communication struggles with Chyna. When Rob relayed the recent fight they had that resulted in his blocking his entire family, the mental health professional responded, “Well, that sounds like a mess.” Rob seemed overall at ease in the televised therapy session, but he wasn’t quick to relay the meeting to Chyna. Guess she’ll just have to watch it on TV!
Rob Reunites With Khloé Kardashian and the Rest of His Family
Then Rob met with Kris and suggested, in a rather morbid way, that they have a family dinner. Rob said, “We’re not always gonna be here for who knows how much longer. … We should have a little family dinner here.” The episode then concluded with cameos from the rest of the Krew, including Khloé Kardashian and North West — whose appearances we’ve sorely missed during the run of this show.
Robert Kardashian, You Are the Father
The episode concluded with Chyna reading Rob the paternity results on her iPhone. To everyone’s non-shock, she exclaimed, “Robert Kardashian, you are the father.” If Maury ever gets canceled, give Chyna his job!
Tell Us: Do you think Chyna and Rob are in it for the long haul? Will they ever move in together?
Keeping Up With the Kardashians returns to E! Sunday, October 23, at 9 p.m. ET.
