Here they are, America!
After nationwide auditions in cities including New York, Salt Lake and Atlanta, judges Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe and renowned choreographers Debbie Allen, Adam Shankman and others have selected So You Think You Can Dance‘s Top 20 dancers who will compete on season 9.
Competing for the first time in two weeks, on July 11, the Top 20 will be paired up to perform routines in assigned genres. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dancers each week via phone, text and online.
The following week, on July 18, the three guys and three girls with the lowest number of votes will be revealed and the judges will decide which two dancers will be eliminated. In the end, the best male and female dancer will be crowned season 9’s champs, succeeding last year’s victor, Melanie Moore.
