Move over, Museum of Ice Cream, the Hall of Breakfast is here to steal your Instagram thunder! Already open in Salt Lake City, the interactive pop-up venue takes a whimsical approach to beloved breakfast foods including eggs, bacon, donuts, cereal, pancakes and waffles.
Visitors enter through a giant refrigerator door and can then mill about the 10 immersive breakfast-themed rooms and colorful spaces. Once inside, visitors can then radiate in the light of an egg yolk sunrise on a giant sunny side-up egg (because who hasn’t wanted to do that?), slide down a massive strip of bacon and snap a pic with a pineapple flamingo as they lounge in a giant neon fruit bowl, which is basically a ball pit for grown-ups.
Talk about a fun way to spice up your Instagram feed!
Founded, curated and created by a group of artists who want to debunk the myth that playing with your food is a bad thing, the Hall of Breakfast will be in Salt Lake City until Monday, July 9, at which point it will relocate to a different city that has yet to be determined.
“Breakfast is what sets the tone for the day; it’s a fresh start filled with endless possibilities. What Hall of Breakfast set out to create is a space that finds the art and play in the everyday,” says exhibit experience designer Sophie Weichers via a press release. “It’s a chance for you to wake up your creativity. Take some photos. Eat some breakfast treats and make some memories.”
