Arrow
Arrow is a popular superhero drama that originally aired on The CW from 2012 to 2020, kicking off the network’s Arrowverse of interconnected superhero shows. The series follows Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), a billionaire playboy who becomes the vigilante Green Arrow after surviving a shipwreck on a mysterious island. Returning to Star City, Oliver uses his archery skills and newfound abilities to fight crime and uncover dark secrets about his city’s corrupt elite.
The DC Comics adaptation blends action-packed fight scenes, intense drama, and compelling character arcs, with Oliver’s struggle to balance his life as a hero and a man with a complicated past. Over the course of eight seasons, Arrow introduced a plethora of memorable supporting characters, including Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea Queen (Willa Holland), all of whom became fan favorites. Arrow was a game-changer for comic book TV shows, and it remains a key part of the Arrowverse legacy, which also includes The Flash, Black Lightning, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
