
Family Matters
Family Matters is a spinoff of Perfect Strangers that premiered on ABC in 1989.
The series revolves around Carl Winslow (Reginald VelJohnson) and his wife, Harriette (Jo Marie Payton), along with their three children: Edward “Eddie” (Darius McCrary), Laura (Kellie Shanygne Williams) and Judith “Judy” (Jaimee Foxworth). Other characters include Carl’s mother, Estelle (Rosetta LeNoire), Carl’s nephew Richard “ Richie” Crawford (Bryton McClure) and neighbor Steven “Steve” Urkel (Jaleel White).
Family Matters aired on ABC for eight seasons until 1997. CBS picked up the series for a ninth season, which aired from 1997 to 1998.
