The Golden Bachelorette
The Golden Bachelorette is a spinoff from ABC’s Bachelor franchise starring an older woman with a cast of senior citizen men as the suitors.
The first season stars Joan Vassos, a school administrator and widow from Rockville, Maryland. She was a contestant on season 1 of The Golden Bachelor and left the season during week 3 to prioritize her family.
Some notable contestants for the premiere season include Gary Levingston, the godson of Tina Turner and Mark Anderson, the father of Kelsey Anderson (the winner of season 28 of The Bachelor). Joan ultimately got engaged to Chock Chapple during the season 1 finale, which aired in November 2024.
