Jane the Virgin is a comedy-drama starring Gina Rodriguez as Jane Villanueva, a 23-year-old virgin who becomes pregnant after an accidental artificial insemination with the sperm of Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), the married owner of the hotel she works at.

The series features Andrea Navedo as Jane’s mom Xiomara Villanueva, Yael Grobglas as Rafael’s wife Petra, Ivonne Coll as Jane’s grandmother Alba Villanueva, Jaime Camil as Jane’s biological father Rogelio De La Vega and Brett Dier as Jane’s boyfriend Michael Cordero. Jane finds herself in the middle of a love triangle with Michael and Rafael, along with other telenovela-inspired twists.

Jane the Virgin premiered on The CW in 2014 and ended with its fifth season in 2019. Rodriguez won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in 2015, and the series earned a Peabody Award.
