Magnum P.I.

Magnum P.I. is a recent reboot of the classic 1980s series, airing on CBS and NBC. The show follows Thomas Magnum, played by Jay Hernandez, a former Navy SEAL turned private investigator in Hawaii. Magnum uses his military skills to solve cases, often seeking help from his friends: Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks), Theodore “T.C.” Calvin (Stephen Hill), Orville “Rick” Wright (Zachary Knighton) and Detective Gordon Katsumoto (Tim Kang).

The show was set in the same fictional universe as two other procedural reboots of ’80s classics, Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver.

The action mystery drama premiered in September 2018. In May 2022, CBS canceled the series after four seasons. NBC, however, picked up the show for another 20 episodes. The fifth and final season of the show aired in 2023 with the series finale airing on January 3, 2024.
