The Circle is a competition series based on the British TV series of the same name. Contestants live in the same apartment building but are completely isolated from each other. They can only communicate through an app called The Circle, giving them the choice to compete as themselves or to create any persona they’d like with a $100,000 prize on the line. Players are eliminated based on likability and can gain influence in the group through rankings.
The American version of the show premiered on Netflix in 2020, followed by series set in France and Brazil. Netflix announced in November 2023 that The Circle was renewed for season 7. Season 6 will premiere in spring 2024.
