The Goldbergs
The Goldbergs is a sitcom that was based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s family and childhood in the ‘80s. The series premiered on ABC in 2013 and aired for 10 seasons until 2023.
The onscreen Goldberg family includes Murray (Jeff Garlin), Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and their three kids: Erica (Hayley Orrantia), Barry (Troy Gentile) and Adam (Sean Giambrone). An adult version of Adam (Patton Oswalt) narrates every episode. The show is set in the suburbs of Philadelphia and often references the real-life Goldberg family’s home videos, with the originals shown before the end credits.
Garlin exited the series in 2021 after being accused of physical and verbal misconduct on set. Garlin denied the allegations.
