Outfit inspo! The snap-front skirt is having a major style moment in 2016. We’ve spotted it (and its sister style, the button-front skirt) on tons of celebs and fashion bloggers.
Why is a simple mini getting so much play? Its A-line style seamlessly blends well with any outfit while the embellishments on the front add distinction. Scroll through to see how Jamie Chung, Elisabeth Moss and Lorde rocked the Snap-Front Mini Skirt ($80, Madewell.com) in three different ways.
Transitioning With Ease
Chung kept her color palette neutral in the camel-colored mini in the photo above. She tucked a heathered tee into the garment and added texture with a pair of suede ankle boots and a black teddy bear jacket. The added layers make her ready for all of mother nature’s mood swings (think: warm days and cool nights).
Winter-Proof
Just because the skirt’s a mini, doesn’t mean you have to avoid it when the temperature drops. Moss modeled the same style in the snow with a red toggle-button coat and opaque black tights and black shooties.
Pretty Preppy
Lorde took a page out of Taylor Swift’s street style handbook, pairing the tan piece with a white, long-sleeve knit, a black saddle-bag, and a pair of sandals.
