Kim Kardashian reunited with Caitlyn Jenner on Wednesday, July 13. The social media maven helped her stepmother get ready for the ESPYS at Jenner’s house in Malibu.
“We’re at Caitlyn’s getting her ready for the ESPYS,” Kardashian, 35, told the camera before introducing designer Michael Costello.
As she filmed Jenner, 66, trying on various dresses, the mom of North and Saint West added, “This could be an option, but we’re not sure yet.”
When the I Am Cait star tried on a “gorgeous white moment,” the Selfish author noted, “She did that last year [though],” referring to the white Versace gown Jenner wore to accept the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at last year’s awards show.
Their styling session comes after Kardashian, along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, decided to distance themselves from the LGBTQ advocate following her dramatic coming out.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, the transgender star’s relationship with her stepdaughters became “strained” after Jenner’s 2015 coming out story on the Vanity Fair cover. The former Olympian discussed her former marriage to their mother, Kris Jenner, in the interview, but the sisters felt that the athlete threw the momager under the bus and should have apologized.
“Kim is not as close to Caitlyn anymore; she was after she first transitioned but as things came out and Caitlyn stayed unapologetic, the relationship got more and more strained,” an insider previously told Us. “Because of how things played out with Bruce and with Caitlyn, she is reluctant to have a serious relationship with Caitlyn.”
