Oh, baby! Mandy Moore continued her press tour for This Is Us with an appearance on the Monday, September 26, episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she discussed her role on the NBC drama … and the single sperm tattoo on the inside of her ankle.
“Well, about 10 years ago, I was on tour with my band,” the actress, 32, explained. “I had my own room to shower in … all of the guys in my band shared a day room. Their one rule was nobody was allowed to do … that thing in the shower,” referring to masturbation.
“It became this big joke, because one of my band members was like, ‘I don’t want babies on my feet.’ And so we created a song called ‘Babies on My Feet’ that we sang on stage every night. No one had any idea what we were talking about.”
When the tour wrapped, she and her crew got matching tattoos. And in 2015, another person involuntarily joined in on the joke.
“That moment when you realize the silly joke tattoo you got with your band 8 years ago means that your sweet stunt double has to have it drawn on too…..,” Moore Instagrammed while filming a project in June 2015.
After Seth Meyers, Moore booked it to another appearance the next day, where she looked like a straight up ‘90s goddess.
Moore attended the Hearst Live launch party in New York City on Tuesday, September 27, in the Anya dress by A.L.C. The black velvet number featured a plunging V-neck and a choker neckline, so there was no need to accessorize (aside from a gold Cartier Love bracelet and black lace sandals by Kurt Geiger London). To elevate her retro look, the musician wore her light brown locks in voluminous curls.
At the event, Moore ran into two fellow small screen stars: UnREAL’s Constance Zimmer and Shiri Appleby. “You never know where the day is gonna take you but I’m sure glad it included a bit of time with these beauties,” she captioned a September 27 photo.
