That's amour! Mary-Kate Olsen flashed her giant diamond engagement ring while attending the Louis Vuitton fall 2014 show in Paris on Thursday, Mar. 6. Joining the newly-engaged star was her twin sister Ashley.
The Row designers, 27, both attending their friend Nicolas Ghesquiere's first show ever for the French fashion house, wore head-to-toe black outfits and aviator shades.
StyleCaster reported Wednesday that the petite blonde's engagement ring from Olivier Sarkozy is actually a vintage Cartier from 1953. It was reportedly purchased at a Sotheby's jewelry auction in NYC on Feb. 6. (Us Weekly exclusively broke the news last Friday, Feb. 28, that the Full House alum was engaged.) The ring, according to StyleCaster, once belonged to a Tennessee-based collector. It features a four-carat European-cut diamond, surrounded by sixteen tiny sapphires and set in multiple interlaced gold bands. The item was purchased for $81,250.
As previously reported, the Olsen family is thrilled about the star's engagement to the significantly older banker, 44. "Mary-Kate's family thinks Olivier is the best thing to happen to her," an insider tells Us in the Mar. 17 issue. "They love him."
This will be Mary-Kate's first marriage and Sarkozy's second. The half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy shares two children, son Julien, 12, and daughter Margo, 10, with his first wife of 13 years, Charlotte Bernard. "She thinks he's a great dad," a source told Us of Mary-Kate.
The lovebirds live together in a $6.25 million townhouse in NYC. Tell Us: what do you think of her rock?
