Celebrity stylist Jessica Mulroney may have a couple titles under her belt that none of Us do: not only can the stylish Canadian say that she attended Meghan Markle’s royal wedding on May 19, 2018,(as a member of the wedding party, in fact) but she also counts herself as one of the Duchess of Sussex’s nearest and dearest. And now, the chic outfit curator has a new role: Mulroney is joining Good Morning America as a fashion contributor, giving viewers the latest on the hottest styles and trends.
Mulroney announced to her followers on Instagram that she had landed the gig with an adorable snapshot from her first day on the job, with a caption that read, “I have now officially joined the @goodmorningamerica team as their new Fashion Contributor and as you can tell by this picture, I couldn’t be happier. Dream job!!! Hard work does pay off sometimes. Tune in next Monday for another fun fashion segment. Cheers to the whole GMA team for making this little Canadian gal feel so welcome.”
For her first segment on the program Mulroney showed viewers how to create a six-piece capsule wardrobe to make your outfits stretch through the trends with timeless pieces. The idea? Boiling things down to the cost-effective essentials that every woman needs in her closet Included: the power pantsuit (in a bright color, with highwaisted black pants), a fabulous pair of heels. Then she showed how you could take the pants from said suits throughout your life from occasion to occasion by changing out the accessories and toppers.
And, hey, she’s proved it’s possible with her most famous client: Meghan Markle regularly cycles her staple pieces, particularly her accessories. For example, the Duchess of Sussex’s blue suede Manolo Blahnik pumps aren’t just fabulous, they are a regular fixture in her official appearance ensembles.
Tune in to watch Jessica Mulroney and we’ll all be as efficiently dressed as a Duchess in no time.
