Chris Pratt has family on his mind. The Jurassic World actor penned a sweet note on Instagram alongside a video of himself and his 5-year-old son, Jack, on his farm on the San Juan Islands in Washington.
“Livin’ that #farmlife Missing home, missing the farm, missing the boy, missing the island,” Pratt, 38, captioned his post on Wednesday, January 24. “So I’m sharing this video as a way to express my gratitude for all the blessings in my life and to entice any of you watching this who may feel unease or anxiety with the state of our world to just breathe, slow down, go outside, find something not man made and give it a good look. A leaf. A bug. A cloud. A sheep.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor went on to share an inspirational quote by famed poet William Cullen Bryant: “Seek communion with her visible form….go forth under the open sky and list to nature’s teachings.” He added, “What a beautiful creation over which we’ve been given the responsibility of stewardship.”
The video was dubbed with Zach Williams’ song “Chain Breaker,” which Pratt joked he didn’t get “permission to use.” He concluded the post, “Hope that’s alright. Big fan Zach. Please don’t sue me for all my sheep.”
Pratt recently returned to Instagram after taking a monthlong break, which began shortly after he filed for divorce from Anna Faris in December. The former couple announced in August that they had split after eight years of marriage. They have since remained amicable while coparenting Jack.
“[We’re] making sure that [Jack is] surrounded by a lot of love and happiness,” the 41-year-old actress, who is now dating cinematographer Michael Barrett, exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. “We’re really good at that and we have amazing friends and incredible family, and we have, like, just the most amazing resources to make sure that he feels safe and protected and happy, and so far he is.”
