Renter's remorse!
Courtney Love is being evicted from her $27,000-a-month rented townhouse in NYC, the New York Post reports. After wrecking the designer decor, the 46-year-old singer was issued with an eviction notice.
Donna Lyon, the owner of the $8 million home, told the Post that Love "wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent." One of the requirements of the lease was that nothing should be done to the interiors.
"This can't be my property," Lyon told the paper. "I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint."
In June, Love accidentally started a fire in the master bedroom. "I got a call from her accountant, who said, 'Miss Love is fine,' which I was glad to hear," Lyon said. "But I thought, 'What about the house?'"
Lyon claimed that Love is $54,000 behind on the $324,000 annual rent. A court date has been set for Dec. 21 in civil court.
