Twi-hards rejoice!
Not only did director Bill Condon very kindly give an update on the production of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 Thursday, but Summit Entertainment also released two new movie stills with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner from the final Twilight film.
“Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on Breaking Dawn, Part Two,” Condon, 56, wrote on The Twilight Saga‘s official Facebook page. “It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.”
Condon revealed he’ll be heading “back north” to work on some additional shots for the film in a few weeks.
“We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors,” he explained. “I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…”
And it gets even better! The director added, “I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters — they’re unlike any Twilight images you’ve seen before.”
In addition to the note, Summit Entertainment revealed two movie stills Thursday from the film of the golden three — Pattinson (Edward), Stewart (Bella) and Lautner (Jacob). Stewart, 22, finally got her turn playing a vampire for the final film, and her hungry red eyes are featured in the new photo with Pattinson, 25, standing protectively by her side. As for 20-year-old Lautner, he’s fully clothed this time but looks like he’s ready to fight.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 will be released on Nov. 16.
