Is Lady Gaga running out of fresh ideas — and clothes?
The “Marry the Night” singer, 26, shared a Twitter photo taken during her Born This Way Ball in Tokyo Monday, featuring the pop star wearing yet another meat dress. Gaga first wore a beefy ensemble, designed by Franc Fernandez, during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in L.A.
“It is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian,” Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres, 54, of her original meat dress. “As you know, I am the most judgment free human being on the earth.”
“However, it has many interpretations. . . if we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones,” she added. “And I am not a piece of meat.”
In March 2012, on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Gaga admitted that the first meat dress was quite smelly. “I kind of liked it. You know why? I don’t like talking to celebrities!” she laughed. “So I figured if it stinks, they won’t come close.”
While some A-list stars told Gaga her outfit was “cool,” one of the pop star’s relatives wasn’t as impressed. “Meat’s for the table at grandma’s house!” Gaga said.
