Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, is a Grammy-winning singer and actress. Gaga dropped out of college at 19 to pursue music full-time and signed with Def Jam Records in 2005, though she was dropped from the label three months later.

To continue making a name for herself, she performed in burlesque dance clubs in Manhattan — earning the moniker “Gaga” after Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga” from a music producer who compared her vocal talent to Freddie Mercury.

She released her debut album The Fame in 2008 shortly after signing to Interscope Records. She went on to release a slew of No.1 dance hits, including “Poker Face,” and “Telephone.” Some of her most popular albums include Born This Way (2011) and Artpop (2013).

The singer ventured into acting with 2016’s American Horror Story: Hotel, winning a Golden Globe for her performance. She made her film debut in the 2018 drama A Star Is Born and was awarded a Critics’ Choice Award for the role. The actress also starred in Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) as Harley Quinn.

Gaga is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, racking up 14 Grammy Awards and 18 VMAs through the years. She released her seventh studio album, Mayhem, in 2025. The Grammy winner is also an advocate for mental health awareness and LGBTQ+ rights through her nonprofit, the Born This Way Foundation. She launched her vegan cosmetics brand, Haus Labs, in 2019.

The multi-hyphenate was previously linked to Matthew “Dada” Williams and Luc Carl before getting engaged to Taylor Kinney in 2015. The couple split in July 2016. She moved on with Christian Carino in February 2017, but ended their engagement two years later. Gaga was first spotted with fiancé Michael Polansky in December 2019 before they went Instagram official in February 2020.
