Nahla Aubry's growing up so fast! Halle Berry's adorable little girl celebrates her fifth birthday Saturday, March 16, and the Oscar-winning mom already has quite a few tricks up her sleeve to make Nahla's big day one to remember.
Speaking to KIIS-FM's Ryan Seacrest Tuesday to promote the March 15 release of her new flick The Call, Berry, 46, revealed that Nahla — and her schoolmates — will be in for a treat later this week. "This year we're taking M&M's with her little picture on it [for her school birthday party snack]," single mom Berry told Seacrest. "You can do that now on the internet and put their face on it!"
After school, Berry says she and Nahla will celebrate at a party that has the potential to make every little girl jealous: A My Little Pony-themed girlie girl bash.
Parenting a pre-schooler in their 40s may be daunting to some mothers, but not Berry, who told Wendy Williams last year that with age came maternal wisdom. "I'm a much better mother at 46, or 41 when I had her, than if I were 21 or 25. I was just a little baby, just trying to figure it out, trying to figure out who I was, let alone have the responsibility of trying to help another little soul develop and grow," Berry admitted. "I'm so glad I waited."
As her daughter grows, Berry told Williams she doesn't necessarily expect Nahla to follow in mom's acting footsteps. "I want her to be whatever she wants to be. I want to give her a fair opportunity to decide that without the loom of having to do what I did, or having that choice be made for her," the actress said. "That's what I want."
