Kim Kardashian isn't the only one who's relieved to be done with all the divorce drama. Shortly after the reality star settled her year-and-a-half-long court battle with ex-husband Kris Humphries, the athlete tweeted that he "couldn't be happier" — despite the fact that he didn't get the annulment he wanted.
"Kris and his family are excited to move forward and are grateful for all the support they have received in this process," a rep for the NBA player said in a statement to Us Weekly. "His commitment to the Brooklyn Nets and the team's incredible fans is his number one priority, and he is excited to head into the playoffs tomorrow with this situation behind him."
As Us Weekly previously reported, Kardashian, 32, and Humphries, 28, reached a settlement in their split on Friday, April 19 — 536 days after the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star first filed for divorce. Humphries (who did not attend the hearing) had been seeking an annulment on the grounds of fraud by alleging that their $10 million wedding was a ratings ploy, but that claim was tossed out by the judge.
"It's done," a source told Us. "They realized there was no fraud and the judge urged Kris to settle. Finally it's over!"
"As a result of this agreement, we will not have a trial in this case," Judge Hank M. Goldberg said. "I want to congratulate the attorneys on both sides. This is a sensible way to resolve this case."
