Uma Thurman's ex-fiance Arpad Busson is suing the Kill Bill actress for custody of their 2-year-old daughter Rosalind, Us Weekly can confirm.
A spokesperson for Ms. Thurman tells Us, "It is unfortunate that this very private discussion regarding Mr. Busson's visitation rights and his participation in decision making has been made public. However, we are optimistic that a fair agreement for both sides will be reached out of court."
Thurman, 44, called off her engagement to the London-based multimillionaire investor, 51, back in April. The pair halted plans to walk down the aisle for the first time in 2009, with Thurman returning her 8-carat diamond ring. After reconciling in 2011, they welcomed daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson in 2012.

The Pulp Fiction star is also mom to daughter Maya, 16, and son Levon, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. Since splitting from Busson, Thurman was spotted out on a dinner date with director and longtime friend Quentin Tarantino in June. Busson is currently dating British actress Kristin Scott Thomas.
